The St. Paul Saints are a baseball team located in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The Saints play as a professional team in the North Division of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball, which the Saint Paul Saints helped found in 2006. Prior to the American Association, the Saints baseball team played in the Northern League. The St Paul Saints formed in 1993, and the Saints have been playing in Midway Stadium Saint Paul since then. Saint Paul Saints home games are a lot of fun and often full of promotions that are a sometimes a little over the top and usually play off current events. This may have been the influence of part-owner Mike Veeck’s father, Bill Veeck, who had outlandish promotions as owner of the St. Louis Browns, Cleveland Indians, and Chicago White Sox.
