The Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota has been home to the NBA Minnesota Timberwolves basketball team since it was built in 1990. The Target Center is sponsored by Target Corporation, which is a Minnesota based retailing company. The Target Center is also home to the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx.

Many WWE events have taken place at the Target Center including a tribute to Eddie Guerrero who died in November 2005 at the Marriott Hotel in downtown Minneapolis. In August 1999, Target Center hosted WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view where former Minnesota Governor and former wrestler, Jesse Ventura refereed the main event. The WWE returned to the Target Center on September 29, 2008 where Target Center tickets sold out in five minutes.
The Target Center will likely share the parking garage with the new Minnesota Twins stadium Target Field, which is to be opened for the Minnesota Twins 2010 season.
