The horseshoe shaped TCF Bank Stadium is situated on the U of M campus at 2009 University Ave South East in Minneapolis, Minnesota, which is on the northeast side of the Minneapolis U of M campus. Construction cost of TCF Bank Stadium was $288.5 million. TCF Bank received naming rights of the new stadium by contributing $35 million towards the Gopher football stadiums total price, over a 25 year period. The naming rights money from TCF Bank will contribute to the 52 percent total that the University of Minnesota is responsible for paying. The other 48 percent will be paid by the state of Minnesota, with a cost of about $10 million per year for 25 years.
